A lot of us with have holidays booked. Just wondering whether they will go ahead or not?

Ours is booked for 10 Aug. Holiday 3/4 paid. Park tickets still to be paid, though we have put a deposit on them.

We still have the insurance (I know) the kids passports and 4 Estas to sort out.

In a total quandary, we want to postpone until may 21. Pretty sure we don’t have the right tho.

And to add to confusion the hol company aren’t talking to anyone who’s not travelling within the week

Before you do anything else, you need to sort you insurance out.

My June cruise is definitely off, my July Cornwall holiday is pretty doubtful and I hope our September Cyprus holiday is ok. Still waiting on The Open ??

I very much doubt our Greece holiday 2nd week June will go ahead. My employer is considering whether to allow us to cancel leave booked H1 and Q3 2020. Issue for Company is obvious - it can't have all of us booking all our holiday entitlement from September or whenever and only allowing us to take 3 days over into 2021. I get that. Of course my company is legally entitled to require me to take so many weeks holiday in H1. Who knows.

Hopefully there might have been some lifting of restriction of our movement and gathering that will enable my club to reopen the course.

I’ve heard this....

the trouble with insurance now is because it’s a ‘known issue’ I’m not sure you can get cover for corona. Even beforehand a lot of policy’s don’t cover pandemics

Fortunately we were on the verge of booking something when this all kicked off
A short stay at home might be the order of the day..

Doubt my trip to kos on 3rd June will be going ahead.
Given her current mood I’m sure my OH will find a way to blame me for it!

Will struggle with that.

They are not paying out on this after mid March bookings as it was a known issue.

Who did you book with Davey? Let’s hope the airline is flexible.

We've lost a holiday for next week and have one booked for the start of August in the UK. I'm 50/50 if it will go ahead. Obviously under current conditions it would not, but the restrictions could have eased a bit by then. In theory we could go and mostly walk the dog and stay inside at other times, much the same as we are currently doing at home. But we'd need the government to relax the restrictions to do that. I wouldn't be overly confident about overseas travel as many countries may still be restricting people coming, even if internal movement within the country is relaxed a bit. Also chuff knows what state the airlines will be in by then.

Yup, I suspect no insurance company will let you take out a new insurance policy for a previously booked holiday that pays up if the holiday is cancelled by corona now.

Did you book on a credit card as they may be able to help if you can't travel?

Aye never thought of that.

I'd expect it to go ahead, Trumps reopening America next week ?

I have a seven night cruise all booked for the last week in September so I'm very hopeful of the drive to Norfolk will be going ahead for it's very nice on the broads at that time of year. Big plus is we have a six berth boat and it's only 300 quid for seven nights. Bargain

We're supposed to be going to Majorca in June but fully expecting it to be cancelled. Booked with Tui so if they cancel it we get a refund.

Booked with love holidays, who originally booked flights through Thomas cook. Flights have since been changed to American Airlines.

Pretty sure we get a refund/voucher if it’s not our fault.
Main problem is the family aren’t keen and want a swap. This I’m pretty sure I’m not covered for

Looking at love holidays it directs you to each airline.

Are your flights direct?

American Airlines are providing completely free changes so you should have no issues in sorting it out for next year.

Unusually Mrs BiM and I hadn't booked anything yet for this year beyond the usual spa & golf stuff. Our sympathies to the affected, hope you get a suitable change or a refund.
