So I have just moved home last month and called to change my address but apparently it takes 2 months/ 2 issues for the new address to be updated, that is diabolical and the lady on the phone didn't give a toss. how on earth can it tqke 2 months ?? it only took me 2 months to purchase and exchange house.....

Presume you're talking about magazine subscription, not golf club subscription?

Either way it does seem like an awful long time to effectively edit one line in a database.........or perhaps there's more to it?

I'd imagine it gives them wiggle room in case of mistakes with postage.

If the the magazine is due to be posted within a week or so I'd imagine its al printed and ready to go. You can't expect them to go find your issue and repack it.

The second month is probably just to give them leeway. As to who you spoke to. Likely call centre esque. You get good and bad service from companies with this level of staff irrespective of industry.

I'm sure when I changed my address online it said it could take up 6 weeks to take effect. I just did mine before I moved house, once we knew we had the house.
