Not so much on the side of the road but one time I tried to pull onto the drive. A pair of fox cubs play fighting. They stopped, looked at the car then carried on for a good 5 mins.

In Slovakia i saw a couple having sex at 4pm, just at the side of the road, no hiding away! was quite surreal.

I know a certain person who was driving most of the county golf team home in a mini bus.
They were bursting for a pee so he stopped in a layby and half a dozen young men got out using the bus as a screen from the busy dual carriageway.
He waited until they were mid flow then drove the bus forward a few yards.

Has Now Found His Wedgie
Driving home last night, was tavelling along a narrow, very dark lane with a few other cars and only headlights lighting the way. Suddenly the cars in front started braking and stopping fast, I braked wondering what was going on, and just saw this strange large shadow moving around in front heading towards us. It was very odd, until it got close enough and I could see that it was a full on hunt charging up the road, ten or 15 riders on horseback and a full pack of hounds in the dark.... very surreal.
