Morning all,

Can anyone recommend a decent stand bag as I think I'm going to carry over the winter. Lightweight and plenty of pockets are the main things im after.

Or if anyone happens to be selling one, I could be quite interested.

Wilson Staff Tour Carry Bags are pretty decent, and being Wilson Staff a bit cheaper than the likes of Taylormade, Callaway, Ping, Mizuno etc. Albeit by maybe £10 but still cheaper and a good bag.

I still don't get this lightweight thing with carry bags. They're going to be reasonably light anyway, why insist on one that's 2 lbs lighter than another? When you've got all your gear in it the bag's still going to weigh a ton - ok 2lbs lighter than it would but is that really going to make a difference?
Get a bag that works for you, has the pockets you need and feels comfy on your back. If you've got a decent double strap then you wont feel any difference between 23lbs and 25lbs.

It really does make a difference. Well it does to me. My new back feels ALOT lighter on my back than my old stand bag.

I have the grom and the extra pounds with winter kit and soggy airways doesn't half takes its toll. I took my old aerolite2 yesterday and there was a big difference, I wouldn't mind the h2no Carry bag through winter.

I think your interest in Mizuno bags Homer, is the precursor to a new set of Mizuno irons :D Will you try the mp 63's for me and report back ?

Still got a voice in my ear (sounds a little gruff like Smiffy) saying that an I15 driver and irons is the way to go. Going off the S56's although the wedges are so nice. I've seen the 53 and 63 irons and they do look the business but I am struggling with an almost irresistable lure towards all things Ping
