Get on through the ballot, I did this September.
Thats my new master plan. Im going to book a few rounds up there and try my luck on the ballot, It just would have been nice to play in a 4 ball with my mates next year but we've tried 3 or 4 times in the ballot and havent had a sniff

If you go, get a three day ticket. You can play The New, Jubilee, Eden, The castle course and the other one.
Then enter the singles ballot for The Old Course when you’re there, probably your best chance of getting on.

So I could book a round on each for 3 days and then another one the same day if there's time? Do the courses open on a Sunday?

I got quoted £15,000 for four people, 3 nights stay and a round at The Old Course, Kingsbarns and The Castle Course for Your Golf Travel 😂😂😂😂😂
Our annual trip has a target budget of £300 pp which includes 4 rounds of golf, hotel, food, beer and fuel. We don't always hit it, but we generally get close.

£15000 is 4 quality holidays for me and the wife, and that's where it would/will be going.

Yeah it's unlimited so could play 36 a day. They're all open except the Old Course on a Sunday.
Although unlimited , the advance booking is I think limited to three rounds ,(And it's well worth booking them as soon as you can) and you cant book extra rounds till the evening before.

I spent some time in St Andrews this year.
Played both courses at Fairmont St Andrews, although its not got the history of the older courses still very enjoyable and the hotel is amazing.

Usually some good deals on YGT.

I got the 3 day ticket this August, week after the Woman’s Open.
Just turned up at the New Course club house, ask about the 3 day ticket.
The new course, you just turn up on the day you’re playing and they fit you in.
The others you call at 9am the day before to book a tee time.
It does get busy as the 3 day ticket is popular, but I played 4 rounds in 3 days, New x2, castle and jubilee.
