Just back from a tour of New England, the guide spoke about 'Americanism of words, especially French. It's a shame we were in Vermont, where he always pronounced Montpellier " Montpeelier" - ah well!

You can tell the difference between catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland by how they say the letter h. Catholics say haitch. Protestants say aitch.
