Further to my recent thread about upgrading my ball choice, I went to play today and picked up a few Srixon Distance balls from the course shop's bargain bucket for 50p each. Thought I'd try them out whilst I'm waiting for my ordered AD333s to arrive.

Anyway, got out onto the 1st tee and gave it a good whack. The ball went almost dead straight and landed, maybe, up to 15-20 yards further than I would normally hit it. I thought it was a fluke but I had similar results from all the other tees I drove off from. I was amazed that a change of ball could make that much difference. This is great. I'm itching for my AD333s and DX2s to turn up now. :D

Hate srixon distance balls stones, no feel at all terrible off the putter face, if your enjoying them mate do not waste your cash on ad333 use srixon distance 15 pounds for 24 new or go for a dunlop ball distance even cheaper and probably go futher

Nice one fella, nothing wrong with those Srixons. If you want another cheap alternative distance ball, Nike PD Longs are very good value.

Nothing wrong with the Srixon distance found one in the rough a few weeks ago played 2 hole with it and scored a birdie and a hole in one. And finished the round with it. Used my normal pro v on Friday and played poor pulled out a Srixon distance on last 2 holes and birdied both.i think this will be my winter ball of choice from now on. Just a shame the pro shop don't sale them. I have 2 in the bag so should last me a few rounds yet.
