Morning.
Having our bathroom and en-suite refurbed and want to set up a spread sheet to keep track of all spending.
Not really bothered about up dating it year on year but also do not want to renew every year, basically one off payment that I can use for years, is there such a beast?
I have windows 11 if that helps
Thanks

I think open office is the thing you need. No experience myself, just renewed excel to the new higher price. But if I think about it early enough next year I check it out myself before the renewal comes around.

Libre Office is another option. Like Open Office, it's compatible with Microsoft Office document formats.
It's also kept more up to date than Open Office. Open Office hasn't seen much development in the last few years.
They are both free.

FWIW, I recently created a spreadsheet in LibreCalc using some pretty arcane Excel formulae and it worked just fine.

Is Libre Office compatible with Lotus? I am using Freelance, 1-2-3, Word Pro & Organiser

Sorry, no idea.
A quick Google suggests that the best option is to export out of Lotus to Microsoft formats before importing into Libre:

Ha...missed again. The first word processing package I used - back late 80s I guess, was something pre-Windows that required me to manually enter formatting control characters around the text...cant recall what it was called. Mind you that was a bit of an upgrade from my early uni days when I was still doing my programming by punching cards.

We used to use the chad as confetti when the punch room girls (am I allowed to say that?) got married.

I just threw out a set of 3 1/2 setup disks for Lotus 1-2-3 a couple of months ago.
