Sports Channels

BT Sport is operating as a significant loss leader. BT had no plans whatsoever to move into TV until Sky decided to steal millions of customers off them with their phone and broadband offerings - BT had to respond in what was their highest margin business. They don't plan on making money from Sport anytime soon.

Spot on, BT, Sky and the like only make any proper money once you have got the whole package (land line, broadband, pay TV and possibly mobile as well if BT buy EE) from them. For them it's all about hooking people in and stats have proven over and over that once the vast majority of people are with one provider, then then mostly see it as too much hassle to move their TV, land line etc etc for the sake of a few quid. So they then have you.

Did I see somewhere that NFL isn't in terrestrial this year ?

That'll be another job for Kodi

some of the games are being shown on Sky Sports & Sky one, so technically you can still watch some games. I'd suggest Gamepass anyway. £99 for the year and itsamazing!

I have never had Sky Sports full time.
I dipped in for a month to follow the Scottish golf and occasional events such as the Ryder Cup.

We have a BT package which I enjoyed for the rugby and it is a bonus as they now cover more fitba.

Scottish Fitba on BBC Alba is also worth keeping an eye on as you occasionally get a decent game.
