So far we have had Rory winning the US open, many would say a sure fire cert for sports personality of the year due to his amazing achievement. BUT if Murray wins wimbledon and Haye beats Klitschko who has the achieved the most out of the 3. If you had to place their achievements in rank order what would your top 3 be and why?

i feel alistair cook would come before haye due to the amount of records he has broken in past 8 months

The problem will be if, as with last year, there is more than one golfer up for the award. Got to think that if Westwood or Donald are still number 1 then they will get a nomination. If there is more than one from any sport then the vote tends to split and that would see Murray walk it.

There should be a limit on only one person from a sport being put forward for the big prize.

Murray then McIlroy.

Beating the crap out of someone is not a sport.
as a boxing & mma fan i Wont get into what is & what is not sport.. was a big david haye fan, but his pre fight carry on is going a bit far now , needs to shut up & put up .. very good chance of beating klitchko , beginning to hope he doesnt tho , he needs a reality check .. anyhow i hope Rory gets it , if andy murray or david haye win anything that includes the word personality it will be a head scratcher ..

If Murray doesn't win it, then he will probably just blame his ankle or the sun shining in his face, like he seems to for everything else.

Rory would have my vote this time around, its a massive achievement for him and would do a lot for the game if he won this as well. I would hate to see Murray win it, and if Haye doesnt win it, then at least he will have his new chat show on sky to console him! :D

Come to think of it, all of them would have paled into insignficance if Smiffy had won at Blackmoor. Can you imagine his acceptance speech at Sports Personality of the Year before he took Sue Barker behind the camera for a quick one?
