So what are you listening to at the moment?

Every now and then, I hear an old song that I've heard countless times but never appreciated, and suddenly realise how good it actually is - then get obsessed with it for a while. Yesterday that song was There Must Be An Angel by Eurythmics. What a song that is! Spent my journey time listening to Eurythmics and Annie Lennox playlists on Spotify after that. Some great stuff in there. Annie's Love Song For A Vampire as well (from a movie soundtrack) - so powerful. One of my favourite artists has actually covered that but I never heard the original before.

I use the DJ setting on spotify so he will often chuck in a few oldies I've forgotten about, some new artists I've not come across and some interesting remixes of old songs by new or different artists

Forgotten how good Shania Twain was. I'm out in Vegas early in the New Year so will have to blag a ticket for her residency there from the radio station I work for.

Billie Eilish….really?

I listen to a lot from the ‘good old days’…and don’t have much time for much current stuff.

So…Yes I’d heard of Billie Eilish…but I’d poo poo’d her sort of stuff without actually listening to any. And there I was in the car with my Mrs and she put on a BE mix on Spotify…and I found myself really enjoying it. Apparently her new stuff is a bit of a change of direction. Whatever. I rather enjoyed this new direction one muchly…

Bit of a different one, and a different reason for playing it. It’s the music that is played when the Boro come out of the tunnel at home matches. The crowd is bouncing, the noise is raucous as 20,000+ thousand attempt to ‘sing’ along.

Not been to a Boro match for over 6 years now, and going to matches over here just isn’t the same.

Were you in the right ground? The crowd bouncing and a raucous noise? Sounds like you moved 40 miles to St James'

Just found a full 2.5 hour Dire Straits concert from 1986 recorded in Australia. Currently playing very loud on my big-screen TV in my home office whilst "working". Damn they were some band. Saw them live once in 1992.
