This took me back to a great gig at the old Hammy Odeon - Was originally only available many years ago as an official bootleg -
Walter Becker is so not in the spotlight he’s almost invisible…as was his want and his way…he gone now of courseSteely Dan...
I use the DJ setting on spotify so he will often chuck in a few oldies I've forgotten about, some new artists I've not come across and some interesting remixes of old songs by new or different artistsEvery now and then, I hear an old song that I've heard countless times but never appreciated, and suddenly realise how good it actually is - then get obsessed with it for a while. Yesterday that song was There Must Be An Angel by Eurythmics. What a song that is! Spent my journey time listening to Eurythmics and Annie Lennox playlists on Spotify after that. Some great stuff in there. Annie's Love Song For A Vampire as well (from a movie soundtrack) - so powerful. One of my favourite artists has actually covered that but I never heard the original before.
Were you in the right ground? The crowd bouncing and a raucous noise? Sounds like you moved 40 miles to St James'Bit of a different one, and a different reason for playing it. It’s the music that is played when the Boro come out of the tunnel at home matches. The crowd is bouncing, the noise is raucous as 20,000+ thousand attempt to ‘sing’ along.
Not been to a Boro match for over 6 years now, and going to matches over here just isn’t the same.
