First the good news - I won the Midweek Stableford

Second, more good news - the handicap has been cut

Third, the not so good news - cut was only .4 so I've missed my target of single figures by the end of the year by .2 of a shot!

Going to be off 9.6 for the winter.
Happy and disappointed at the same time - a strange feeling.
Still at least my handicap is only 2 digits again.....
Roll on Spring...

Well done. It will be my last shot at single figures a week Sunday, but we have gone over to a winter course, so it will be tough, as this plays harder. I guess you will have to come out all guns blazing come the spring to secure single digits from the off.

Well done 9.6 is the perfect place to stat you attack on single figures next year - I always feel that when you come down to a .6 you are getting one more shot than you deserve gives you that extra cushion.

Well done Imurg, 9.6 round Aylesbury Park is a very useful handicap. From the few times I have played there, i remember it being a pretty long track with lots of long grass about to catch a wayward drive

Thats great shooting. Unfortunately I'm getting close to 12 than 10 but I have my eyes set on 9 for next season. I'm not too fussed if I hit 12 over the Winter as I won't be playing much but working on my swing changes and will hopefully leap from the blocks next March when the new season starts

Tough luck Imurg but a good effort.

To think one measly missed putt over the course of the whole season could have given you the 0.2 you need!
