Imurg
The Grinder Of Pars (Semi Crocked)
Had a look today at some 3 woods to replace my Launcher 17 degree fairway.
I thought I might be able to get a few more yards with a couple of degrees less loft - recently aquired a Rapture V" 5 wood that goes very nicely and on the way to the same distance as the 17*.
So I rocked up the AG in MK and I hit mine first - nice and solid to set a standard.
RBZ next - it was ok, a touch of fade now and then but generally good and in the right direction
G20 - much the same as the RBZ, maybe a little more draw but stats very close
i20 - Ooohh, didn't like it at all - can't explain exactly what but it wasn't right.
R11s - much the same as the RBZ/G20
So, discounting the i20, the other 3 all felt and went much the same....
Trouble is, they all went and felt much the same as my Launcher, maybe the RBZ was a little longer overall - but not 160 quid's worth longer.
So I'm sticking at the moment, until the Launcher wears out, breaks or really starts to mis-behave.
And the AG Guy agreed. After my first shot with my wood he said " And you want to change this..why.?"
New is not always better.
