So after slating links courses...

Well I'd better let you all know how it went. Loved it, it's a really smart course and it's fair to say I've taken a large step to being converted about links courses 😁
Looking forward to Cleveland, it has a lot to live up to.
I won't bore everyone with the details and all important results, but I don't think Lump and Snell will be on the forum tonight, they'll be busy licking their wounds 😉

Yeah your sombrero travels well mate....well played

Great course in great company.....Couldn't ask for more

Some amazing holes...especially those brutal bunkers on the par 3s, made them interesting!!

I packed my gear, got to Linden, unpacked the club's, walked to the 1st and then decided the wind was stronger there than at home and chose not to go out. Foxton must have been challenging at times today, particularly some of the cliff edge holes.

I played it a couple of weeks back and was hugely impressed by its condition. Probably a good course to arrange a meet at come spring / summer.

It seemed we only had the wind on our backs for 2 or 3 holes, some of the par 4s were never in reach for 2 and the par 3s were playing very tough. I swung like a dog and Alan putted like a girl so to both walk off with 30 points was some achievement I think.
To top it off, a leg on my brand new bag broke on the 2nd hole so was a right pain in the a$$ for the remaining 16 😂

Normal day for Snell then? :ears:

Thought id give him a chance on his birthday, but nope he couldn't put me away!

A great day out, lovely course, just a shame the wind was biblical!
