Not too bad for snow in Leeds, light dusting but frost really set in. I haven't much hope for at least another fortnight

You'll be fine Smiffy, the Moray Firth between Nairn and Inverness has a really nice microclimate, much drier and warmer than you'd think.
You'll only need 3 hats, two base layers, a microfleece, a macrofleece (is there such a term?) and a goretex shell

it's -6.5 today but believe it or not its getting warmer .

We haven't seen anything green for over two weeks now.
In all my years I can honestly say that I've never seen the Snow lay for such a long time when normally it's a light drizzle then the rain soon after ..
In saying I have noticed how the Cold weather front has been lingering longer than normal ..
