Smoking on the course

Do you agree with it?
As a smoker myself I don't have a problem and smoke at least 2 a round more if having a shocker. As for my butts I carry a small pop tin and they go in there. My dad doesn't mind me smoking whilst we play as I always role when waiting and happy to swing and smoke. On the other hand my uncle got a bit funny about it when played up there with him. Saying how his normal partners don't smoke whilst playing or they have half a one after the 9th.
Just wondering what a non smokers opinion is

Doesn't really bother me either way. None of my usual playing partners smoke but when I've played with people who do ive not given it a second thought.

I'm an ex smoker so dont even get me started on this one :lol: no I'm fine with people smoking on the course, just dont like seing fag butts which have been put out on the green

Smoking is a bad habit of mine on the course I must admit. I do not have a problem with not smoking indoors but out in the open where is the problem? As long as you do not stand there blowing smoke across people when they are taking a shot then they can sod off. My smoking does not slow my round down and aslong as you do not throw them all over the course, which even being a smoker I hate to see as you can put it out hen carry it to the next tee where there will be a bin. What is the problem?

I have never even tried a cigarette let alone smoked one, but several people I play with do, and I don't have a problem outdoors with that

The thing I cant get my head round is how on earth they can swing a club with one in the mouth. my regular partner says he knows he's completed his backswing when his shoulder feels hot!

Any other time I am the most ardent anti smoker ever!

non smoker here, i dont care if people smoke as long as they make some effort with the butts. Im not saying that they should be placed lovingly in a personal carry-bin. But at least make the effort not to throw them onto the greens.

one thing I am always mindful of is getting rid of my butts, I put the cig out then put into an empty cig packet.

Nothing better for calming me down after a shocking hole either (or a great one) a bit of a hamlet moment (if you can remember the ad)

I like smoking on the course anyway. It always tells me if I am in with a shout of winning a medal, very simple maths this is. If I smoke a full pack then throw the card in the bin. If I have only had a couple then I am in with a chance.

LOL....

But with my Motocaddy I can just let it take itself along the hole while I light one up halfway down the fairway. Also I can clip my Brolley into it and walk under that without getting my fag wet.... electric trolleys are a multi functional tool.

As someone who has never smoked I don't mind others choosing to smoke as long as they are mindful that not everyone wishes to inhale there fumes. With regard to butts they are no different to empty cans or mars bar wraps they should be disposed of properly.
