There's a clip on bbc of smiley and caddy walking down the sixth and smiley sees the croc. The great big fairy.
I'd have definitely reacted like Smiley! I'm scared of dogs on the course, never mind gators!!
Marty sez you're scared of the greens on the course........![]()
Either that or make sure you are not the slowest of the four. 😜A tip that someone gave me this week: if you ever have to outrun a croc, don't go in a straight line. Those guys are up to 40 mph fast, but they don't manage directional changes very well. If you zig zag away from them, you have a good chance of making it, because the croc is probably using sight of you quickly. (I haven't tried this, it was just a random bit of conversation that came up, because out pro had just come back from South Africa and seen a few crocodiles there). Don't know about gators, but doubt they would chase you at all ... as somebody said, humans are not their prey, they would only attack if they felt threatened.

Crocodile - Alligator
Grayish green color - Black in color
Fourth tooth on lower jaw exposed when mouth is closed - Only upper teeth exposed when mouth is closed
Narrow tapered snout - Broad rounded snout
Young are light with dark stripes -Young are dark with yellow stripes
Actually, when I am close enough to distinguish if only the upper or the upper and lower teeth are exposed, I'd feel way too close to comfort with either of themI try to avoid reptiles that are longer than three feet, no matter how many teeth or stripes or snouts they have.
