Tour Winner
Since joining my local club earlier in the year, the Par 5 509yd 5th has been my nemesis. It has wrecked my card many antime due to a range of factors. Specifically trees, sand, trees and some more trees. That is, until tonight!
Playing as a true par 5 in to the wind, I hit an OK drive down the left hand side of the fairway, running in to the first cut of rough. Nice lie so hit a full blooded 5 iron back into the middle of the fairway leaving me about 100 yards to go. Nice wedge onto the green from there and then BOOOOM! Drained a 15ft putt to walk off with a birdie 4!
I know this is probably run of the mill to most, but to made, it was a massive achievement. I will tek-a-boo. I thank you.
