I've got the Bushnell Neo+, picked it up for less than a ton.
Had to ask for a remap on some of the holes on my own course and now can't fault it.

I don't think the difference between the S1 and the Skycaddie Watch is worth it as I'm pretty sure the skycaddie doesn't use the intelli green technology...I switched from a SG5 to an S1 and happy with my choice.
Skycaddie has ground verified maps though and is def more accurate than Garmin s1. The garmin is fine but it can be slow to update yardages if you walk as fast as I do, plus 145yds or 153 yds does make a difference in club selection ( yes it can be up to 8 yds out, for awhile, we tested it with 3 skycaddie sg5 and an S1 and s3)
Skycaddie also does running/cycling times, tracks location, distance, time, speed, pace, calories etc so a few bonus items that I would find useful.

Fair enough...the S1 has the odometer I think but I don't think the map and odometer can run side by side. I've tested mine vs Skycaddie at my home course and there might be 1-3 yard difference but I'm happy with that. I've never had the problem of updating yardages...you must run up the fairway?!
I have to be honest, as much as I begrudge the annual fee, I do think the SC5 is better (for me) especially on new courses. I can get an overview of the hole which can be helpful and there's just more information which can help me plot my way round or back to the hole I'm suppose to be on

I've got one and never had a problem with it. Charges quick(i usually charge it with the usb slot on my TV) looks nice and I've checked it with a few courses yardage markers and it's always been accurate to 1-2 yards. The only down point is that it's a bit chunkier looking than the S1.

Yes I bought my watch on 30 December 2013 and I think the subs free offer ran out the next day.
I only have mine set to the middle of the green as that is all I feel I need it for. It is so handy just to turn your wrist to see the info you require.
what else you use it for, screen easy to see in sunlight? got a backlight?
I thought there was no subs with this? or voluntary but just if you want to use tracking and analyses to website- apart from that no subs?
when I had an S1 I strapped it onto the trolley or bag, never on my wrist as it just looks like I'm in a hurry to get somewhere:lol:

When I bought mine from the pro shop the offer was no fees if you register by 31 Dec. They may have now decided to sell the watches completely subs free.
cheers, could be they gave the benefits of subs without paying in that offer, now theres an option to pay, watch certainly seems good as I had an SG5 for a couple of years and stopped as the subs werent value compared to others on the market.
