SkyCaddie - QuickVue

I have just downloaded the latest upgrade for my SkyCaddie which now has "QuickVue" which gives an overall view of the hole you are playing, including dog-legs etc. It looks like it will be a handy addition!

Clive - is it a one off cost for the upgrade to this or does it increase your yearly subs as well??

Not as far as I'm aware, although I did pay for an upgrade several months ago, so it might be included in that package.

I think it was a one-off payment for the initial upgrade which allowed more courses to be stored on the SkyCaddie along with the scoring facility and more intelligreen information. The new information shows the fairway layout and distance from the tee to the corner of doglegs etc.
My subscription is due for renewal in December so I won't know for certain until then.

I have also got it on my SC5, and find it very good.
I played a new course yesterday and without it my partner and myself would have been playing down the worng fairways on a good few holes.

Well worth the money in my eyes.

Well tried it out today at Gullane No.3 and had a couple of surprises. One hole showed 120 yds to the centre of the green, a lay-up of 180 yds leaving 60 yds to the centre, and another hole was 186 yds to the centre, with a lay-up of 31 yds leaving 210 yds to the centre!

I have emailed SkyCaddie and await their reply with interest.
