Firstly can I just add that I am new to SkyCaddie (just bought one today) so this may seem like a simple question but please bear with me if you think I'm asking the obvious.

I have just purchased an Aire II and have created an account, activated my device and done a sync. Do I now need to download courses onto my device, or are they already on there? When I log into my account and go to 'Manage Courses' the list is empty - does this mean there are no courses on the device yet?

Cheers

They should all be loaded up already. Switch it on outside and it should find the nearest courses to your location and list them.

Thanks for the info. So what is the 'Manage Courses' option about then? There is an option in there to add courses, but if they are already on the device why would this be necessary? Or is it in case the course has been updated?

The Aire II also has that rotating green feature, but only if I take out the full membership for £40. Going to try it with just the basic free package initially to see if that gives me enough.

Like you though when im approaching greens from the wrong fairway/woods it may be quite useful to have!

that'll be where manage my courses comes in. as I think you'll have to upload the ones you want with green vue.

That makes sense.

However, one thing that doesnt is I have added my home course to 'Managed Courses'. But when I go into my device it says.......

You have 0 SkyCourses and 0 Member Courses. (max allowed: 100 SkyCourses and 5 User Courses)

Should this be reading that I have 0 courses?

You can tell im new to this SkyCaddie stuff cant you

Just seen your PM but I'll answer on here for you.

Without membership you only have the 35,000 pre-loaded courses plus all the basic measurements, although you might be going through the process of downloading your own course it won't accept it as you cannot manage anything without a membership.

With a membership and dependent on the device, you can download other courses including your own to access additional features like the Inteligreen along with looking at your screen in HD. These features do not work when you wirelessly find a course on any device but having a membership allows those with the facility to download courses and thus access those extra features that are available.
