Take advantage of these new features to help you play your best golf. This Course and Feature Expansion Package software upgrade allows you to store up to 20 courses on your SkyCaddie and track your round with our Digital Scorecard. Just enter your handicap into the preferences and the pars for your handicap are automatically highlighted on the digital scorecard. You can also use the Auto Shot Distance Display to measure your shots as you advance down the course. It will display and update as you move toward your ball. The Auto Depth of Green automatically calculates depth of green your line of approach.

I was told about this a few weeks ago and just looked into it, found this on the desktop, anyone upgraded? If so whats it like? And is it a 1 time payment?

MikeH's had these features when we played at Ascot. I hadn't realised you could upgrade an old unit. Not sure I will bother though.

I have not heard of this before but am very interested now you mention it. A one off payment of £13 and I will no doubt invest. It does annoy me a little bit that the device no doubt has the capabilities to do this, but they didn't make them standard features...I love the product but skycaddie do seem like a bit of a money grabbing company. Then again that's what they are in business for I suppose

If someone knows whether or not its a one off payment I would appreciate them letting me know.

I downloaded it yesterday.

Yes it was a one off payment. I had a quick play at home.

Scoring bit looks basic. Shots and Putts I think.

I was planning to use it today on the course but can't get out. I'll def give it a proper test tomorrow.

Homer,

had a quick play with it when I went round today.

• Digital Clock: Provides a clock on your SkyCaddie screen without hitting a button to display.
Ok Handy. But no big deal.
• Automatic Depth of Green: Automatically calculates the depth of green for your line of approach.
Didn't notice this on the display. I'll have a look tomorrow morning when I play. Perhaps I have to enable this somehow. Might be of use.
• Automatic Shot Distance Display: Measures, displays and updates the distance of your shots as you advance down the course toward your ball.
Again, didn't notice this either. I'll have to check again tomorrow. Probably the most useful of the features.
• International Icons: Icons now appear next to Soft Key options to provide visual symbols of what functions are available for players unable to read the words.
Again, no big deal. Nice to have.
• 20-Course capacity: With this software version, the SkyCaddie is now able to store up to 20 SkyCourses on the device at one time.
Useful if you play a lot of courses. I don't.
• Auto course select: Automatically selects the course about to be played based on your physical location (if loaded on your SkyCaddie). Although this has been an existing feature, a user can now select the option of turning Auto Course Select on or off at start-up.
No major benefit either.

• Digital Scorecard.
Useful feature. Lets you track Shots and Putts. You enter after each hole. It will then show you under\over par, total score and total putts.
I had a few holes where it skipped the enter score step and had to navigate back which was a bit of a pain.
Might be more us if you could do something with the data when the round is finished. Like upload it to the PC to track scores. But you can't


• MyPar or Hcp
Basically shows you the holes you get shots on.

First Impressions. Overall probably not worth the £13. Some useful stuff, but none of the features are must haves.

I think I might give it a miss. Shame as it sounded quite good on the site but there isn't much there I can really see being much benefit to me
