Played in the rain last week and my Sky caddie developed a leak which made it unoperational. Accept that Sky Caddie do not guarantee that they are waterproof.

Done all the usual things, rice, airing cupboard sealed bag and my mate tried to unscrew the back of without success. Sent 2 mails to Sky Caddie without reply and a phone call last week which was pointless. Telephoned today and they advised there was nothing they could do other than send me a refurbished model at a cost of £70.

Very disappointed with Service received and if anyone has a SG5 which they are trying to sell I would be interested

There was a thread recently about SkyCaddies very poor customer service. When mine gives up the ghost I will probaly go down the laser route, its already started to play up every so often all ready.

"Sky Caddie do not guarantee that they are waterproof"

So why do expect them to do anything about it?

Would you expect a company to do something about a rain suit that wasn't guaranteed as waterproof?

My skycaddie screen is cracked. Again skycaddie won't repair it they will only swap it for a refurbished skycaddie plus a £70 charge. My subs run out in October so that's another £40 making it £110. I can pick up a decent laser for £130. Skycaddie can go and raffle now as they have lost a custom for life.

I have an SG5 that I'm looking to sell (I picked up a Bushnell V2 at the weekend so SG5 is now redundant). I'm looking for £100 plus delivery (1st class recorded is £6.60), which looks to be consistent with Ebay for a unit in vgc.

I can send you a photo of it later this evening if you're interested?

My SC5 is on its last knocking and behaving intermittantly. I'm not going to get another and will be looking at the Garmin range. To be fair, the SC is 5 years old but the charger has now died, it barely charges off the PC link and seems to struggle with the signal
