When I was a kid we use to laugh at Skodas,I'd have no problem driving one now tho quality cars & the stigma as definitely gone.

As Skoda and Audi are from the same group the technology from Audi gets passed on through Skoda cars. The trim tends to be a little more basic but I think you will be happy with them.

I don't quite get how that is a bad thing. Better packaging, more interior space, simpler for the average person to control when/if it all goes wrong and 99.5% of drivers will have absolutely no idea what the difference is. For yomping up and down the motorway I can't see any advantage of one over the other.

Personally I'd find the rear wheel drive much easier to control if it all went wrong, indeed I've always preferred rear wheel drive over front from a driver's perspective but the front wheel drive is much better in the snow as others have said.

As for the original question, the only thing I didn't like about it was the boot; I didn't like the idea of an estate without a level load bay.

Skoda are also in the same 'group' as Lamborgini.......but most Lambo owners are actually happy that Audi is running the show now!

from a golfers perspective this is exactly the same as the Pinacle Gold Precision or Titlest NXT - same ball, same group, different price point/market

Just bought a Citigo as second car basically a V Dub Up but a lot cheaper really impressed with build and features a real bargain just have to forget its still a skoda

No argument in it VW are also overpriced and well under equipped. I drive a 62 plate Polo and it has nothing in it worth a toss, I was lucky to get remote central locking, had to pay extra for that too. Get a Skoda.

The equivalent to a VRS estate.... you mean an passat R36 estate. The VW is head and shoulders above the skoda.... but costs alot more.

The skoda is a good motor...also helps that the new ones look alot nicer than the outgoing model.

Hants police roads unit use them for pursuit cars. Enough said! Also a cabbie mate of mine had a diesel one that had done 350k and was still going strong, only got rid of it ran out of age.
