Should golf be more judgemental?

I’m sorry…but you and others are taking my ‘judgemental’ comment out of context of the ‘judgemental’ aspect of the OP - and far, far too seriously…absurdly seriously.

Besides…who mentioned negativity towards ladies golf. Surely to goodness it’s obvious that I, and all of those I surround myself with at my golf club, view ladies golf in a very positive light.

Honestly…🙄
Perhaps we are taking it out of context. But then we can only reply based on what you actually wrote!! So it’s not really absurd is it but merely responding to how you came across !

Actually no it’s not obvious that you surround yourself with people who view it in a positive light. We know you support Lottie but we can’t know for a fact with who you surround yourself with. Also fact more than one person responded to you in similar fashion highlights it’s not obvious and that you wrote something that clearly came across completely differently to how you meant it.

So to quote you directly “🙄

Hmmmm

Who are the most attractive/best looking male golfers in the top echelon of pros?

Adam Scott? Viktor Hovland?

Or do you prefer Tommy Fleetwood and/or Ricky Fowler?

Always a tough one for many blokes to answer. :giggle::giggle::giggle:
Great question. You’ve definitely got to have Adam Scott in the list, good looking dude and classy guy.

Ludvig Aberg is probably there, Brooks is an athlete well built guy and then a there’s Villegas the guys absolutely ripped.

🤣

I think women view attractiveness differently to men.

Physical attributes are not necessarily the most important. Many women would probably say Tiger, because of the size of his W (wallet). I don't know if women are impressed by his big D (driver).

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

My reply was to the question posted 'Should golf be more judgemental?' - clearly (to me at least) made in the context of the men's game - if not in general.

My response was...

'Well...there is plenty in the way of judgmental stuff about the ladies game'

I did not make that observation in the context of what 99.99% of golfers might think of the ladies game - it was made non-specifically in the broadest context. And btw yes - unfortunately there remain those who are negatively judgemental about the ladies game - let's not pretend that that is not the case.

As far as my follow-up comment about Charley is concerned - it is a simple fact that her name is what comes up to a common 'judgmental' question that is asked on-line about the females of our game, it is not one that I have heard raised by the golfers I associate with.

I am going to leave it at that.

And No - I don't think that what is deemed success in golf should be more judgemental...that there are no pictures on the scorecard holds absolutely.

Well you said more than that but let’s not let facts get in the way of your defence shall we!

We will agree to disagree even though I’m right 😘
