Should golf be more judgemental?

Now this is a very weird coincidence.
I bought a full set of Sam Snead Blue Ridge and a set of Ben Sayers Mentor irons within two days of each other.
The Mentors are late 80s early 90s, less than 40 years old, and I sold them 2 years later for a tidy profit. Many consider them to be a very fine classic club.

Wilson Sam Snead Blue Ridge.
There were a lot of different versions over the years and they appear frequently on ebay.
It was a matter of patience until the "right ones" came up at the right price.
And I've found a home for the 2-iron from post #1055.

I have a Sam Snead "Champ" putter from post #915 to make 14 clubs.

Woods 1, 3, 5 and irons 3-SW plus the 2-iron. (Compare with post #880)

My first complete set were Wilson Sam Snead Blue Ridge circa 1974. Bought for £8 an iron.

These look newer (and more like Haig Ultra) than the ones that I purchased (maybe was in 1963?)

I think mine are late 1970s.

My first set of matching clubs were Dunlop Blue Flash junior size - woods 2 & 4, irons 3,5,7,9. These were very early 1970s.

Well...there is plenty in the way of judgmental stuff about the ladies game. BTW - ask the obvious question and the answer is currently usually Charley Hull...does that make her #1 in the world? well maybe not. Aha! the flaw in anything judgmental - it's subjective.
