One pair is mixed 5&8 other pair both male 8&9.

Only rules are that you must play from the men’s SI.

Based on the attached card should the lady play the men’s or ladies par? And what shot Allowance should she get based on the SSS?

Can’t attach card but ladies card had 3 par 5s that were par 4’s for men and 1 par 4 that was a par 5 for men.

Men’s par was 70 SSS 71 ladies par 73 sss 73. How do you play this match?

Lady's allowance is Her Handicap + Lady's SSS - Men's SSS. She plays to Ladies Par for each hole.

I'm ambivalent re using male SI, but that should even out across the course.

Par does not come into the mixed teed adjustment in medal play, only in stableford. The SSS of a course does not change - it is a fixed rating.

No, all the responses seem to be based on stroke play.

The lady receives 2 additional strokes adjusted on her handicap (difference in SSS as referenced above). Strokes in the match allocated at 90% from low handicap as usual. She plays her course but strokes are allocated from the men's SI (from your club rules).

Other than that the match is played as normal ie best net score wins each hole. The nominal par of any hole is irrelevant in the match.

The par for each hole shown on the card is NEVER relevant in matchplay. You are playing your opponent and after adjusting ladies handicaps for difference in SSS then taking your 90% against the lowest handicap you will know which holes the higher handicaps get strokes on from the Men’s Stroke Index.
the hole is won by the player/pair who have the lowest nett score (which could be the same as gross if no strokes on that hole)
I think TV coverage of matchplay has clouded the issue as they seem obsessed with score to par in matchplay.
