With the warmer weather approaching was just wondering how many of you wear shorts when playing golf?

Alot of people strangely are a definite no-no and only wear trousers, never worn them myself but im tempted to get a nice pair for this summer as it did get a little hot with trousers on last year.

There is actually a guy at our club who wears them all year round! even noticed him wearing them when the course was frozen and i was wearing every layer i could fit on!

I never used to wear shorts, but once it started getting pretty hot I brought a cheap pair from Sports Direct... Might get a better pair for this year though!

Not for me. I tend to find some very short unfriendly areas. Not really a fan of them at all on the course. Too many short fat legs and with ridiculous rules on socks, some guys can look really strange

Love shorts and the bugs love my legs when im wading through the rough :-(

But ive been playing nearly a year now so dont go in there as much :-)

There are very few - very few - males in this World who should have a licence to wear shorts in public.

By a hugely wide margin - I, and the vast majority or the people I know - have missed the queue for the licence.

Not for me either. Like Homer said not good when your in the woods and thick rough as I regulary am. Loads of stylish Golf Trousers out there designed for warm weather, Adidas and Galvin are both very good

warm weather upon us, shorts. Bit early aren't you. Only in blazing sunshine and even then maybes aye maybes naw as socks and shorts are a faux pax.

jusy once I might get a pair of Daniel Craig Bond trunks as shorts, and one of them tight tops and let ma belly hang out. That'd be worth the laugh and guarranteed I'd win the matchplay Medal for dodgy sportsmanship.

Twelve of us go on a golfing holiday every year in the last week of March - Spain, Portugal and, for the last 3 years, Turkey. This is the signal - and it's a point of honour - that shorts must be worn from then until the end of September. We're off to Belek in 3 weeks time and the shorts are ironed and folded ready.

i am never out of my shorts in the summer. wore them in november last year. threatened to wear them on sunday. glad i didnt though as it was cold enough in the end. i play my best golf in shorts. dont really like wearing sleves but have to as its so cold this time of year. shorts and tee shirt golf. perfect!

I will be getting a pair this year. I wear shorts out and about regularly from about march through to November so they're a yes from me, the only thing that souks stop me wearing them is all those silly sock rules

the only thing that souks stop me wearing them is all those silly sock rules

Has anyone stopped to think that maybe the "silly sock" rule was invented for the sole purpose of veering Men away from the wearing of shorts?
"It's hot - I must wear shorts. Hang on though, if I do I have to wear knee high socks. Jeez I'll look at right plank in that get-up. I'll wear trousers instead"

Works for me.......

i kick myself the very few days in the summer that im wearing trousers and the sun is out. i should just leave a pair the bag for such times.
