Shooting Your Age!

Has anyone done it or know of anyone who has?

I think that would be an amazing achievement and one only a handful of golfers will ever do. I heard a Jack Nicklaus interview a few years ago saying that was always one of his goals which he had achieved and I thought it would only be the pro's who could entertain something like that but recently we played team match against another club who had a 70 yr old who has just gone back up to 5 handicap and it made me realise that it is possible for a select few. Even shooting your age Net would be wonderful achievement and one I will be aiming to emulate in 30 or so yrs time

I can shoot my age.........on the front 9

pro's could do it later in life and maybe us AM's with a nett score, it would be a nice thing to do but I think it would be just that, nice.

Our oldest member is getting close. He was 90 in February, plays twice a week and has been chopped twice in the last month, scoring 38 points against CSS36 on his last outing.

Yes played against a gent who once played to a low handicap he plays off eleven now and is 82 he last beat his age when he was 79yrs old. He still plays a competitive game.Says the older he gets the easier it is to beat his age?

I qualify for Seniors in 5 months' time

at least I'm still looking to shoot 10 under my age for each nine.

We have a 69 year old off 4 who shoots his age. Helps that our par is 69 as well.
