Sherwood Forest EGU Seniors live scores

Well played Rick, I see you managed to get the compulsory blob on your card

Cheers guys. Great catching up with Nick and Dave today.
One of those rounds where I could easily have been 3 or 4 better but I'll take being only 2 shots of the leading gross score. Not bothered about the nett.
Going along steady front 9 in 2 over gross with bogies at both par 5's which were downsind, so criminal really.
Back 9 and the rain and wind came leading to my only double of the day, then a horrendous kick on the last which took my ball from the middle of the fairway to a crap lie in the rough resulted in a bogie which was disappointing.
But I'll take a 0.4 cut from today and give it my best shot tomorrow.
I'm desperate to win this thing!!
If the score wasn't good enough for some forummers I can only apologise ( and wonder if they'd be disappointed with a round that resulted in a cut!!??)
Hey ho.... Each to their own.

Balls to what some keyboard warriors say, nicely done today on a tough course.

good luck to you Dave and Nick for tomorrow.

Just had chance to look at the scores a bit closer on line. The guys in 2nd and 3rd place gross ahead of me both had an NR each on one hole! Not sure how this gross comp is being calculated but surely gross is gross? If you NR how can you win the gross? Confused.com

It looks like it's gross stableford rick as opposed to gross medal

A couple of things I found a little strange.

Rick has got a well deserved cut but the CONGU recommendation is that he plays off his original starting handicap in the next round.

The guy leading is shown as "Home Club not set" which I have always taken as he doesn't have a club.

I'd say looking at his declared handicap and previous inclusion in matches, this is him HERE a member at Rye Hill and plays off 4 in quite a few senior scratch opens that I've seen.

Well played Rick, onwards & upwards

I was knackered after a grueling round and went to bed early, now up & wide awake, going to be grumpy later :(

I'm not suggesting anything untoward, I'm just naturally nosey. He doesn't appear on the Rye Hill handicap list and doesn't seem to be on CDH.

Go get'em Rick. I'll be keeping an eye on the scores today 👍

Ignore the miserable 2 hats as well. Some people just like trying to drag everyone else in to their own personal misery. That's what having small johnsons does to you.

Well played Rick and very good luck for tomorrow will be keeping a close eye on scores if you put a link up.
Don't be too desperate it will only add more pressure go out and enjoy yourself

Best of luck, If I'd of known known earlier I may have come down and caddied for you as it's just down the road from me. ;) May be next time.

Surely he doesn't have a "competition" handicap then, I believe that's what the little "c" is for?

Had a look at all the previous and future comps on the England Golf site for this year, I might put in for some of these rather than the trafional HDID, Titleist ones, the Senior comps look great value, mulling over the Wetherby comp, looks a nice course 🤔
