she likes it dirty!

My putter that is...

Didn't clean her for few weeks and she was dropping them in from 20, 25 & 35 feet I didn't have to look either.. cleaned her t'other weekend and played sat and she was as cold as a Russian nun..

Anyone else experienced this?

I hardly used my putter at all on Friday, just putted with a wedge all day, as I was being lazy, and couldn't be bothered removing the head cover.

Putter sulked on Saturday, but then was out to please on Sunday.

Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen.

Could it be to do with the lower expectations of using it whilst dirty? Less thought = better touch.

my putter though it was a sand wedge yesturday. I was using it out of the green-side bunkers when the sand slopes allowed and was doing really well.

Well, at least until I actually had to put the ball in the hole

Got my original Anser cut down to 34 inches and a Winn grip put on it over the weekend. Took it out today and the results were encouraging. Confidence levels high and the feeling off the putter was sublime.

It was struggling a bit on the very wet greens and I wanted something with a bit of a firmer feel. I had my Rossa in the bag but saw the Ping at the back of the cupboard and thought why not. It's the original Anser 2 and to my mind the original and the best. Now its cut back to the right length (I use to have a more upright style as a youngster) the feel is sublime, nay awesome and the balance is perfecto
