Seve TV special

I missed the first 15mins, damn, but thought it well worth watching.

What an inspiration the man is. Even as he continues his journey through illness his positivity and enthusiasm shines through. No wonder he was such a great golfer and much loved and admired throughout the world.

Just wish I'd been into golf during his heyday.

Golfmmad.

After watching that last night, the fact that Seve can walk, talk and remember the stuff he was talking about with Peter Aliss, let alone swing a golf club, is nothing short of a miracle. He always inspired me to play golf, but he is also awe inspiring in his outlook to life. I sincerely doubt that he'd be anywhere near his current recovery situation if he wasn't such a strong fighter. I wish him well in his future recovery and will be hoping he is fit enough to be at St Andrews next year, in any form. And like Peter said, it doesn't matter if it's 86 or 96, just be there.

Good luck Seve.

read a newspaper article about the interview - Aliss had a leg injury at the time - he mentioned he and Seve were hobbling round together.
apparently he and Seve had always got on but not been bosom buddies, but Seve had asked for him to do the interview

I was amazed at Seve's recovery - fantastic.

I PVR'd the program and watched it last night.

I hope that it works out for Seve regardless of whether he plays again or not.

I found it quite sad that he lives alone in the wonderful house he's built......

Funny that, I remember Alliss as slagging Seve every chance he got back in the 80's ( Oooh that sort of behaviour wouldn't have been acceptable in my day - sort of idea ).

I thought the prog was a bit too asskissy and didn't do Seve justice.

Seve was as important to the progression of golf in the 70s and 80s as Tiger is now. I think he deserves a bit more than Alliss's tired old rambling.
