Hi there
Our Golf Club operates separately from the Course and does not have a particularly good relationship with the Course
I run a seniors unofficial section
I am looking to establish a formal Seniors Section/Club/Society but which will operate independently from the main Club
I have a very good relationship with the Course and they have agreed in principal to support the Seniors subject to approving a Constitution which I can organise
The Seniors will run/organise only seniors competitions (and which are not currently being offered by the Club so there is no potential conflict)

My question is whether anyone has experience of a similar situation and if so can you help with how best to set this up?
We are based in Scotland

Many thanks in advance for any feedback

We have a separate Seniors committee which operates within guidelines agreed with the club committee.

They run their own fortnightly comps, knockout comps, organise prizes etc run their own opens and have a club set number of match fixtures with other clubs. They have funds from the comps and things like raffles which are separate to club funds and decide for themselves what to do with the money (often used for club capital projects and charitable donations).

I cannot give you a copy of their constitution as it is being rewritten at the moment
