Come on guys....would a 50 year course have managed with 3 inches of torrential rain in 2.5hrs?

Too early my arse. You can't legislate for rain like that,a mate is up there and says it has been unbelievable, something that he has never seen and isn't likely to see again.

It's exactly the same as the Ryder Cup - no course could cope with that amount of drenching in such a short space of time, in fact many couldn't cope with half that.
Doesn't help the cause of trying to get more events in the Uk though...

Exactly, the weather system was 3 miles wide and never moved for 3 hours...sh1t happens and you can do nothing about it.

It's freak weather. End of.
I just hope that the sponsors view it this way and don't go chicken.

Must admit, I got a wee bit of perverse pleasure from seeing the gorse washed away at the left hand side of the first.
I wonder if the digger's unearthed my 2   brand new Pro v1's yet.

BBC HD 1.30pm Sunday, wonder why SKY had it Thursday Friday and now BBC?

Does that mean despite paying for a tv license unless I have an HD tv, an HD receiver and all the cabling, I cant watch it, not even on the red button?

what does everyone think of the commentary? I'm not too keen on the BBC, used to prefer it to sky but I do start to enjoy the little bit extras that sky do now.

Cant stand the Sky commentary.
BBC for me every time.

I think Peter alliss has reached the end of his shelf life. I used to really enjoy his commentary but now use the mute button frequently.
What a performance by Luke again this afteroon!!! :)

Sad to say but totally agree regarding Peter Alliss. I have now started to find 99% of his attempts at humour cringeworthy and I'm counting the amount of factual mistakes he is making. Time to hand over the baton I feel.
