Scottish independence and the Ryder Cup

This isn't trolling it is a genuine question. The way things stand the SIP is willing to risk everything to pull scotland out of Great Britain and to become a stand alone country and then risk them not being allowed to join Europe. If this happens then how can they continue to have a stake in Europe and NI Vs America in the Ryder cup if indeed it all goes the way the SIP wants it and a yes vote is the outcome of any referendum?

The Ryder Cup Teams are continental Europe ( geographically not POLITICALLY ) and USA

Scotland will always be part of Europe geographically regardless of what political choices are made.

They will also stay part of GB geographically.

They want to leave the United Kingdom ( Politically )

Scotland cannot pull out of Great Britain unless Salmond devises a way to separate it from the rest of the island and tow it some miles away.

Same number of Swedes as Scots in the frame at the mo.
Are we not all getting carried away a bit.
Long long time to go.

Not that long - but good to see 4 English in the mix plus possibilities of some wild cards for them

As an Englishman I would be perfectly happy if the European team contained no English players, just so long as they win!
