I was wondering with my playing partners today what will happen to the GB and Ireland Ryder Cup team if Scottish folk decide they do not want to be part of GB anymore. If they do not want to be part of GB then surely they should be excluded from the Ryder cup Both courses and players?

Its UK they are thinking of no longer being part off

the Ryder is European Team and they will still be part of Europe

Not if Europe get their way they won't

Scotland will always be part of Europe Geographically - that cant change and thats what effects the selection for Ryder Cup

Not what currency they get or if they are in the EU etc

Agreed.

Though it does conjure up the image Scotland emulating the 'Trailer' to Monty Python's Meaning of Life!

That dead parrot (parakeet) last weekend is still in the memory too!

Probably not a bad thing on the players front!

Oh come on...........just think for one minute about the OP's question.
The fact that he discussed it with another golfer and still posted such rubbish slightly scarey.

Well i actually think that whenever someone posts about Scotland doesnt automatically means its a negative and prefer to give the benefit of the doubt.

With the amount of stuff that has been posted about Scotland Independance Vote its hard to keep up at times.

I think it stopped being GB & Ireland nearly 40 years ago.

Edit......... 1979 to be exact, the days of concorde collars, tank tops and flared troosers.

Sorry Mods...........

And ? it could very well be a genuine mistake. But i guess when you are looking for offence it appears.

I have spent decades working with Scottish people and the banter has been brilliant - all good natured - on here though ?!

No point having any banter because its clear some people from over the wall will just take offense at banter.

Im so glad this forum isnt a generally representation of the way Jocks interact with the English.
