Scottish Fitba'

17 year old fourth choice goalie now on for St Mirren after losing 1st minute goal.

Wow what a game.....I'll say no more in case folk are recording.
Chalk and cheese from yesterday's bore fest

Had arranged to play a knockout tie 4pm yesterday afternoon as it was the only day we could fit it in before the deadline. Watched the first half before having to set off. Job done I thought.

Checked the phone before teeing off. Thought that’s it, we’ve blown it again. Was amazed to see the final score.

I did not see that coming, Celtic looked out on their feet after 90 mins.
If I was a betting man my money would have been on a St Mirren win.
Well played Celtic, no disrespect to Dunfermline but I think the final will be a walk in the park for Celtic.
No such thing as a walk in the park with this Celtic team. We struggled to beat Auchenleck Talbot ffs.

I found it difficult to measure the quality of the two teams in the Celtic game.
Thought Gogic and the St Mirren left back had superb games in defense.....but were they made to look good because the Celtic attack was poor?
Bringing on James Forrest changed the game.
Celtic keeper was a shocker.

Yes, well done St. J.
Hopefully the support will continue to turn out next season.
I caught a bit of the game. Was surprised that Dunfermline weren’t better after such a gritty display getting to the cup final.

Think the Pars looked more and more leggy and knacked as the game went on…not surprisingly after Saturday. They’d have had to be a bit wary about resting a load of regular starters and fielding a weak team - doesn’t go down well with the League.

And yes…hopefully the support holds up. Good crowd I thought…7,600. As Faddy said, the over 3000 Saints fans there was more than a lot of home crowds over some more recent seasons.

Think it’s Pars 6th game in 3 weeks, Saturday would have taken a lot out of them to be honest.
St Johnstone are worthy winners of the league.

Finally the Scottish press release the SPFL team of the year.

I Hope Milne, one of the fastest players in Europe, goes to the world Cup instead of Tierney who is now past his sell by

Thoroughly enjoyed my Friday trip to Perth for the Raith game and League trophy presentation. A straightforward 2-0 win with Saints playing some of their best football of the season…despite lengthy celebrations Tuesday night Wednesday morning (some all day at the races). But tbh…Raith were surprisingly poor given they still had top 4 to play for.

Anyway…tickets bought for last game of the season next Friday evening, and a wee trip to Somerset Park is in the offing. Quite a round trip from Sheffield…🙄
