Scottish Fitba'

All this “both as bad as each other” is disingenuous.

There was only one set of fans trying to attack the opposition.
It's not disingenuous it's an absolute lie, this type of thing happens with the rangers support regularly and then everyone else is to blame for it, we all seen what happened on Sunday and in the past

Care to expand on this? I’m no fan of how football matches are policed, but to say the police were 100% to blame for what took place on Sunday is a mind-blowing statement.

Not really....

The three major incidents from Saturday were the following;

Celtic fans forcing the emergency exits and fans without tickets rushing it. I think it's fair to say any fan that's prepared to do that is a 'risk' and will likely behave badly once inside. The Police failed to prevent this which is on them. The FA, The Met Police and England fans were hammered for something similar at the Euro 2020 final.

Poor Policing preventing the Celtic fans from running onto the pitch.

Poor Policing preventing the Rangers fans from running onto the pitch.

It's not exactly rocket science to realise given the history of the fixture it's best to be prepared. Especially with it being a full away allocation for the first time in years. There was clearly a failure by the Police to stop all the above. It doesn't even take much, 20-30 officers in front of both goals would've stopped any pitch invasion. It's mindblowing when it got to penalties the Police weren't on standby pitch side. Instead they left it to clueless stewards on minium wage and only appeared once it had all kicked off.

Obviously the fans that cause trouble are also to blame so I will row back on the 100% part but they're idiots, the Police have no excuse.

On the matter of level of policing. Our of interest...who determines the level of policing at a football stadium. Do the police?...or do the club decide - probably according to the cost for different levels as quoted to them by the police and in the context of the club's own stewarding arrangements.

Well it should be the police who decide after assessing what they think is required.
