Ah the joys of being a Hearts and Scotland supporter.
Never a dull moment and every chance to grab defeat from the jaws of victory taken.

My lad is currently on cloud 9 with his two teams last games - Sunday's defeat of Celtic by StJ - and last night Arsenal 'thrashing' Real Madrid. Now that isn't likely to happen very often. Of course his hope for both StJ in the SC Semi and Ars in the return leg at the Bernebau...well...at least for the latter his hope is 'real'istic - rather less so for the former. But hey...we're going to Glasgow with renewed hope in our hearts and a spring in our step.

Anyway it'll be nice going back to Mount Florida to visit again with my lad the street above Hampden in which I spent my first 8 yrs - the street is still there - the end terrace tenement close and flats off it has gone...though the rest of the tenement building is still there.

I think we cost ourselves that pleasure by losing to St Johnstone last week. I was thinking how unusual it felt to hope for a Rangers win though.

With my great tactical knowledge of football gained by watching Hearts for more than 70 years..........I suggest Square Baws starts with 10 men on Thursday night.

Only saw the first half, very poor indeed, could have been 3 or 4 very easily.

But was pleased to hear about the late equaliser, gives us a proper party day to look forward to.

Hopefully Hearts will win today and that the wee team that Celtic are playing have a real go.
Hopefully var will be fair to all teams too.

Picking my lad up from his place in Sheffield at 8am tomorrow morning (well that’s the plan) to head up to Glasgow. Grab a bite to eat and a beer then to the game. For ticketing reasons (and fact StJ have a small fan base) there will probably be only be about 5000-7000 of us there…but we’ll be there and we travel tomorrow with hope in our hearts…(see what I did there ).
