Scottish Fitba'

Dessers getting pelters for not taking a penalty. Bit bizarre your goalkeeper and left back taking one ahead of your top scorer.

Thought Clement got his tactics right. They weren’t going to match Celtic man for man, so press them aggressively and try to force mistakes which they did. It will be interesting to see if they do the same at Ibrox at NY. Not sure the bears will be happy with that as they will want their team to be on the front foot.

It was a great finish from Maeda, all the energy in the world but sometimes his end product can be a bit wild, but he took that well
He has been a fantastic signing, has scored some very important goals for us. It will be a sad day when he leaves (hopefully not for a few years yet).

I reckon Maeda will stay with Celtic long term. He's good in the Scottish league but isn't a player that's going to attract attention from a bigger league. So I can see him being a bit of a MacGregor in that respect.

He’s been brilliant and probably good for celtic supporters in the sense he’s maybe not going to be unbelievable and get snapped away to England or a big £££ move

So in lead up to St Mirren penalty.

St Johnstone player fouls St Mirren player but ref plays advantage - OK.

Immediately that advantage is underway the St Mirren player who had been fouled retaliates in a more serious way - raised hands to upper chest pushing St Johnstone player over - something that would normally most likely have seen him booked - at least. But play went on and seconds later ball to St Johnstone hand sees St Mirren with a penalty.

Why was play not taken back to the place where the St Mirren player's retaliation happened - surely that retaliation ends play under the advantage that was being played?

If he had any technical ability at all he'd already be in the Premier League with his pace and work rate. He can get away with 1 good cross out of 7 or one good finish out of 5 in the SPL but it wouldn't cut it in a better league.

I think we'll have a hard job hanging onto Kuhn though.

A real shame that a great game yesterday is now under the shadow of idiotic behaviour in Glasgow city centre.
The two fans groups, Union Bears and Green Brigade are reported to be behind this.
If true, both clubs need to do their best to disband them are move them on from their grounds.

You are being unbelievably harsh there. His final ball is not always the best, but to say he has no technical ability at all is nonsense. His goal yesterday was taken really well as have plenty others.

Idiotic or thuggish…? Please don’t sugar-coat the sort of behaviour that keeps many home fans away from games when either of the OF visit. Totally unacceptable - as you say…but it is not just any organising of it that is unacceptable but the behaviour itself.

It’s just desperate - and the clubs seem unwilling or unable to tackle ‘their own’ head on.

Both idiotic and thuggish.

Also, this carry on with “pyro” needs to stop. How on earth can people get a hold of so many of these?

Did you see one of the neds charging down Argyle Street while holding his pyro? Looked like an orc from Lord Of The Rings charging into Helms Deep.

What a way to bring attention to yourself, complete muppet.

OK, he had a tiny bit of technical ability. 😂 I thought he mis-controlled his first touch on the goal and he even said himself that he scuffed the penalty.

What did the other guy receive?

Might as well ditch VAR in Scotland.
Two pathetic (possibly game changing) incidents in the last week.
Can’t blame the VAR guys for this one. They knew it was a bad decision and told him to review. He did and decided to uphold his decision.

It will be interesting to see Motherwell spend the next week trying to get the officials sacked and the game replayed 😁
