I really didn't want to get a sat nav that you attach to the windscreen but a new integrated head unit will be about £700 so am going to bite the bullet.

Anyone recommend a good one that also has a bluetooth connection to use your phone through it??

Spending upto about £150.

I bought a Navigon in Halfords about 4 or 5 months ago. It's absolutely superb and has bluetooth connection as standard.
I've had a couple of Garmins before and this one knocks them into a cocked hat.
I'll find out the model number in a bit and post a link.
If I remember correctly it was bang on £150.00

Recommended, and a bit cheaper than I got it for too!

Is that the one that you used last year at beau desert that took us on the shortest route that was 20 mins longer than the route I had AND took us on a bloody toll Road.

The reason it was only 150 quid is that they take a % from the toll booths

No. That was my poxy Garmin and I dumped it shortly after that little escapade. Load of crap. The Navigon is brilliant in comparison.
Got me to Forest Pines (twice) with no problems and it's the one I used in Scotland earlier this year. Did we get lost???
;) ;) ;)

What's the bluetooth all about?

If you have a bluetooth enabled phone Bob, you can "pair" it up with the SatNav unit and all of your contacts tranfer onto it. If you get a call, or want to make a call it enables you to use the SatNav to make it and you just speak into it's built in mike, and sound comes out of the built in speaker. Completely hands free, and a doddle to use.
I'd be lost without it now.

mine was pinched out of my works van last fri night, window smashed glove box emptied oh well I'm just another stat I suppose. :(

Yep, YOU were supposed to be in Ireland

Brilliant :D :D

Didn't realise they had mikes and speakers. Nifty

I have the TomTom Go 750 with Live Services which gives accurate road delays and warnings. It also has Bluetooth and points of Interest (Golf Courses etc) Great piece of technology.

My Garmin has a perference for driving on bridleways. Normally the sort that have a bollard in the middle, to stop idiots with Garmins from driving up them.
