Can we possibly have a sub-forum for Stack & tilt?

There are enough people here who don't mind (or quite enjoy) talking about it and there are certainly enough who think it is invading the forum.

If there's a sub forum it will certainly keep it away only for those who are interested in it and converstaions pertaining to it.

Thoughts?

Yeah,great idea,let's have a Tiger sub forum too....:mmm:

I'm just putting the idea out there Dodger seeing as there seems to be so much moaning/groaning etc about it.... it's down to the forumers to voice their opinions that's all.

i don't see what the issue is,it's simple if you don't have a interest in s&t and it gets on your nerves then don't read the threads that are about s&t.

i personally don't care much about it,not just now anyway but i still like to read the threads because it's good to see what is working for some and not for others.if my game was horrendous and in need of change then i'd maybe consider it and thats why it's good to have all these threads about it.......gives a good idea of what needs doing.

so on that note i would keep it as is but then again if it was decided to have a sub forum for it then fair do's...but it doesn't bother me.

Spot on.

I agree with Homer on this, after all, it is a golf forum.

If I see a thread in out of bounds about computer games, I just ignore it as I've no interest in them at all.

I enjoy reading about stack&tilt and other aspects of the golf swing. Except, when James goes off on one and starts talking about, push fades and pull fades or whatever,

sorry James, KISS!

As long as the thread states it is about stack and tilt I don't see a problem. If you are not interested don't open the thread. Now if the thread says it is about hitting 300 yard plus drives, and then turns out to be about s & t I would be so let down.

They will if they use the "latest posts" function like me. However, if they do use the "latest posts" function, then a S&T subforum would be pointless as all posts show up...

Sorry mate, but I don't see the need for it..

Seems the thread was moved to 'website feedback' that's about 500 forumers that won't see it now

Fair point James, why do mods do that? It doesn't appear to have anything to do with website feedback.
On your original question I dont think you need a sub forum, I enjoy the S&T stuff too despite not using it.

Ah, I see, so if a mod doesn't like a particular post it gets moved to website feedback, where it will not be seen by as many.

I really do not see why it was moved, a perfectly reasonable request by JustOne for discussion.

I moved it here as it says on the description of the website feedback bit "offer positive suggestions"

I think it would be a good idea so I don't need to trawl through all the posts looking for any info

You could have let it stay for more than 14 minutes!

I'm going to screw up your S&T now Chris....!!! Keep that right knee flexed!!! :ears:

I don't think it needs to be separated, as long as people respect the views of others.

If a thread is clearly for discussing the method involved, and you don't use or have an interest in S&T, I'd gently suggest that folks just ignore it, rather than wading in with "it's garbage" and starting a row that throws an instructional thread off course.

There are threads where the validity of the method is being discussed, in which case, fill your boots if you want to critique the theory on that thread. That's all good.

I would advocate a new sub-forum solely for use by James, so he can talk to himself about ball flight laws at 3am
