If a player records a wrong score i.e. 4 when they took 5 they are DQ'd, we all know that.
However when calculating CSS and handicaps does that disqualified players score still qualify once corrected?
We have a scenario where a player was DQ'd but still got a handicap cut. Is this ok? Some people think it's an automatic 0.1 up. I'm not sure.

Any views?

Hi,
In our club you can get cut or get .1 back even if you are DQ, If you forget to sign in or something like that you get DQ but still cut.

Thanks gents, that is correct, a player can get cut even if they're DQ'd. I just had it confirmed.

Yes, normally that is the case. DQ's are split into "correct scores" and "incorrect scores" in the rules. A correct score is one that was compiled in good faith and basically a clerical error such as not signing was the problem. In other words the score itself was still valid.

An "incorrect score" is one where the DQ was more serious (eg cheating or playing with illegal clubs etc). Such scores are disregarded as they are not shot under the rules.
