On our 17th, behind the green is a stream and then a steep wooden bank, yesterday, I thinned a pitch that ended up in the stream, there was a bit of discussion where to drop. I said drop the other otherside of the stream at the bottom of the bank, our playing partners agreed, but my partner, who is very experienced reckoned she could take it back to the other side of the green.

She bowed to the majority, but who was right?

the point I thinned from was about 90 yards out.

It was a yellow staked hazard.

You can play again from where you struck the last shot or drop any distance behind the water hazard keeping a straight line between the point where the ball crossed the margin of the water hazard and the spot on which the ball is dropped.
