We've just had it on for a while and I cant believe what a load of old tosh it is. It would be good to see the queen stumble on at the end though for another quick camera shot then off home to bed to sleep it off :)

Like any of us, I expect she'll probably find the odd decent thing in amongst some uninspiring tat.
It's not a stellar line-up though, is it?

I thought the Ventriloquist was good especially when he had the Guy from the audience on, apart from that it was nothing special, and what is Lady GaGa on ? :D

I watched Basel v Fulham (come on you whites - bring on Marseille or another big name and the Scousers in the last 16) and so HID decided she had control of the remote and wanted to watch it. I just left her to it and went to watch the Spurs game upstairs. Came down during the second half and she was chucking zzzzz's at the ceiling so it must have been a corker

Calm down!!!! Getting a bit carried away. You are in the last 32. Or do you now think Fulham are now so good that getting to the last 16 is a given ;)

I live in Blackpool and it's certainly true when they say the Queen thinks everywhere smells of wet paint. They spent loads sprucing up North Station (she came by train) for what was probably no more than a 2 minute walk to the big black limo for the ooooh 1/4 mile journey to the Opera House where they have spent £5000 putting in a private bathroom especially.

Still, love it or loath it it's nice to see a big event outside London for a change. As for the show I thought Lady Gaga was one of the best acts. A slow song which showed she's actually got a really good voice. I'm sure her majesty loved every minute :D Remember, it's variety so most people are unlikely to like the whole thing.

Strange isn't it? This is an example of what TV was like in the 60s and 70s with shows like "Saturday Night at the London Paladium" et al. Not long ago I was reading debates about how bad weekend TV is now and how we missed the old Variety shows we used to have. Now we have the chance to see one of these shows again and all we do is knock it too!
:D
