Would love too but I'm heading off to Marriot-St Pierre the following Tuesday with 16 lads from work.

Havn't built up enough credits with the long haired general to even try and ask her.

Next time out though Homer I would defintely be up for it, when do you think the next big forum meet would be?

I'm actually quite gutted to miss it.

Hi Homer
I remember you said tee-off from 10. I'm assuming bacon butties 9-ish - or after that for later starters?
Just working out when we need to get out of bed!

How much is it again? £65?

£61 Sammie

To include Homer getting his baps out on arrival....or was it a bacon bap? Golf, prizes, 2 course meal....then all back to HJS's for a beer. I've bagsied the sofa if I can't be bothered to drive home.

mate when is it? i'm desperate to lose my fear of playing with strangers!

Come and join us for any of the meets mate, we have westerham coming up on thursday 19th, a good warm-up for ascot perhaps and a chance to meet a few off us so you know some faces before the big-one.

Ascot is going to be awesome.

Its Friday April 3rd. You are more than welcome but I'll need to confirm numbers probably around the 21st so if you need to book leave or work cover be quick. Its £61 for bacon rolls and coffee, 18 holes, 2 course meal (roast beef/yorkshire pudding and apple pie/custard or cream plus prizes).

RA have said they will put up a prize for longest drive (not sure what it is yet) and there will be something for nearest the pin (probably a dozen balls). I'm talking with GM about a couple of prizes for maybe 1st, 2nd, 3rd and I'm looking at a small cup for the winner and a shield if we decide to do it annually.

I'll be down my local pub in a small village near Bracknell in the evening for anyone who is either staying down or just fancies an extra beer and wants to reflect on the days proceedings.

you guys always arrange these for weekdays then? does nobody work anymore?
:(

you really haven't got to grips with this yet have you?

in the beginning there was golf, (any contrary versions are due to poor translation of the hieroglyphics).

if in doubt throw a sickie (of cause this only works if you haven't had a leave request turned down previously)

I would love a few or maybe more pints in your local, that is the side of golf I am good at. But the two and a half hour drive home tells me NO!

Maybe next year when my good wife is not 8 months pregnet, this year I will just come for the crack on the course, and look foward to meeting a few of you.
