round of my life today (no driver in sight)

Played Irvine golf club (ayrshire) today, shot a 68 (2 under par) off scratch. Its the best round I have ever had.....what a feeling!! (i'm off 5)

I used my driver for the first two holes (bogey on both) then decided to keep it in the bag, hit my 3 wood (taylor made T3 17.5) for the rest of the par 4's and 5's. The difference was incredible.

Also recently changed my putting grip to the lower left hand grip (like harrington) again it really worked.

Sorry to bore you all, just wanted to share my happiness....

Many thanks, I'm heading over to Arran with my mates next week for the Brodick open....you know exactly whats going to happen. Wheels off....(althought the late night drinking sessions may have something to do with it )

Yep, nice shooting.
I'm the opposite at the moment. I can trust my driver, the 3 wood has gone a bit "wonky".

Funny enough it was my R7 ltd that stayed in the bag!! I'm off 5 but feel a cut coming on
