Ross Mccormack 11m to FFC

Sizeable fee for an average player.

Had a great year last year but never struck me as the type I would pay 11 million quid for!

The season before last he scored 5 in 32

Another thing is Leeds are skint so how did they manage to talk Fulham into paying that much? :mmm:

A half decent player who'll do a job for a team, but 11 mil is having a laugh surely.

Tax dodge.

As both clubs are, I believe, making losses neither is really likely to have much need of tax avoidance.

The figure of £11 million may well include his salary for the full term of his contract plus agents' fees etc; It has been common practice for several years for clubs to leak this "total" figure to big themselves up in the eyes of their supporters.

Messrs Sullivan & Gold were amongst the first to do it whilst at Birmingham City.

Fulham won't be paying 11M for him up front. Probably more like 5 to 7 with promotion based add-ons. The upfront price for a proven championship striker seems fair and if he scores the goals that take us back up, another £5M is small change. Personally, I think there is a lot to do before we can even start to think about promotion but that's another debate.

I'd hardly call one season proven, but probably betger bet than your Greek forward.

I'd imagine the fee you suggested is about right as can't imagine anyone paying a full £11m for a 27hr old championship striker.

Either way it'll be a bargain of his goals gain you promotion.

He does look massively overpriced. But I'd rather spend it on a good Championship player with the hunger to get into the Prem, rather than a Premier league has been who's looking for one final big contract.

Good riddance.. started to think he was bigger than the club (like Smith, tRaItOr, etc) .. not worth £11m....but a bit worried where our goals will come from next season, sure our high profile coach will have players in mind... looking forward to another season of despair !!

I'm actually happy as we won't pay it in one chunk. At least he looks as if he wants to play for us unlike the Greek and a few others. This guy looks a reasonable buy http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2014/june/24/taggart-signs

Well apparently he didn't what to play for his new Italian boss at Leeds so was only a matter of time before was sold.
Certainly a statement of intent from Fulham.
