The Tennis Thread

Okay, so they've been on court for over two hours, it's extremely hot, the tennis is often remarkable and they're playing with absolute strength and intensity ......................... two gladiators, if you will.

My questions are thus;
Why do they not appear to be perspiring?
What are they made of?
Has no one told them it's bloody hot out there?

A lot of towel usage and shirts that are soaking up the sweat very well

Great win today for Sinner,better player on the day. Served well and put pressure on Alcaraz's second serve.
Alcaraz serving was awful today,hardly got any first serves in all game and against a player like Sinner had no chance!

Wow, just seen the women's final was a whitewash. Imagine if you'd bought tickets specifically for that! 😂

That's why they try to avoid putting women on the show courts at peak times. It would kill the demand if people were paying good money to watch a match that could be over in an hour.

Women's tennis is in a mess at the moment anyway, hence why you see so many random winners of the slams and no one dominating.

That said men's tennis isn't in great shape either and the final today was average. Alcarez and Sinner are at least two levels down from Andy Murray, in the peak era (2007-2020) they don't even get to finals let alone win anything.

Might be controversial, but I much prefer watching tennis than golf (most of the time)
Ive tried watching it but just can't get in to it, and Im someone who pretty much watch any sport that's on.
